Hello everyone and a warm welcome to all our members.
I hope you are all well and no doubt busy accumulating some ‘Brownie Points’ in preparation for a busy MG season ahead.
 Having spent the past eight years working on the restoration of my MGA Coupe then it will seriously take me a long time to get back to a positive points position!
 I did eventually manage to complete the rebuild of the MGA and would you believe it got it through the MOT first time.
 Unfortunately the MOT was on Friday the 6th February and of course, as you may remember, most of us wakened to the covering of a few inches of snow.
 I waited a few hours to allow the roads to clear and even though I was late for my original test time I was treated sympathetically.
 After the MOT I had to spend hours cleaning the car to prevent what had been one of the reasons for the restoration in the first place, the dreaded rust bug.
 I plan to cover the details of the restoration over the next few months assuming of course you are interested in hearing about it?.

As promised I have now included details of our planned weekend in Scotland.   Derek Kerr has spent a few days in the Dumfries area vetting various hotels.   We have decided upon The Aston Hotel which is based in Dumfries.
   I have included an entry form in this newsletter.
  
I always end up with sleepless nights prior to our Charity Quiz Night.	This is mainly down to not knowing what teams will show on the night, what will we have for auction or ballot prizes etc.
Well I need not have worried.
   On the night we had fifteen teams most with a full complement of players, we received numerous prizes for ballots and an unbelievable amount for the auction.
I really want to thank all who contributed in one way or another.
   All of our sponsors will be receiving a letter of thanks over the next few days.
